Just a follow up and close out on this thread.

I found out my original parts estimate was off. I am all back together for less than $300. The Cre3000 pair was $160 and the heavy duty wet bolt kit was $120. Took me just a couple of hours to replace all of the bolts and put on the new Cre.

I purchased 2 new Sailun S637 G rated tires before our summer adventures and I just put another pair on so now we should be good to go for a while.

Keep a close eye on the wet bolts with tight turns on pavement they may break the heads off the bolts because they are drilled the long way then the narrow way in the middle of the bolts. We had wet bolts before I upgraded to Morryde IS , I broke a wet bolt someplace between central PA and Elkhart (Morryde plant). I pulled into there lot and noticed the trailer low on the passenger side and the typical 3 1/2" gap between the tires was near zero. I found the rear leaf spring was rideing on the frame and the trunnion was letting the axle move forward. I think in a strait line this would have warn the tires out fast but I could have pulled it for a while and not noticed it. Boon docking may have also caused your spring to flex more then a trailer that was on pavement all the time.

Good to know. I will keep an eye on that.

My original equipment was all Morryde and all replaced with Morryde.

I am headed to MORryde over New Years to have the IS installed on mine. My appointment is Jan 3rd. I am hoping for decent weather for the drive. Its a 10 hr trip for me coming from NC.

That is awesome. I hope you have a safe trip.

I am sure that set up is amazing, but not worth the investment for my plans.

I don't know if you've ever been over to mor-ryde, but during our rally we did a factory tour at mor-ryde. That place is absolutely amazing and quite the spectacle to see things in operation. Whenever one of the coaches at our rally went over there to get the I.S. checked for alignment, they were all treated like royalty. Very good people over there.

What route are you taking? Keep in mind most campgrounds in that area will be closed because of winter time. Your selection for stops will be few.

The only route there is, really. 77/64/33. The Angola/Hogback Lake KOA is open and I have a reservation there for one night on the way up.

If you are going to get another trailer in the next 2 or 3 years, upgrade to a heavier spring pack and keep on driving. When you get the new trailer, invest ina a better suspension system.

Just in the past week, there have been two people in the RV park with broken leaf springs. Luckily, they both caught it and had them replaced in short order. One had put on a heavier leaf packs less than two years ago.

With the roads getting rougher, I think this will continue to be a problem. Also, the manufacturers are putting on the cheapest suspension they can roll them out the door on.

We stay at Wilmington Ohio for when in Ohio visiting grandkids. When we go to Goshen/Elkhart from there we run up I-75 to US 30 west at Lima.
So you could run 77-64-75-30-33.
At Lexington, Ky. pick up I-75 north and run it to US 30. At Fort Wayne we would pick up US33 to Goshen. Now 33 is two lane to Goshen/Elkhart, but a good road.

The bypass around Fort Wayne is rough, bridge joints will bounce you.

Everything was already replaced over a month ago. I do have a spare spring in my toolbox now.

They do not make an "up graded" suspension for my planned trailer but it well exceeds the planned load of an RV. On top of that it is air ride.

I am pretty sure the route I am taking is the exact same route I took when going to Notre Dame back in 2017 for a football game. It looks like it on the map. I was driving a 40' MH back then but I don't remember the roads being too bad. We stayed at the Elkhart KOA for a night then drove the coach on over towards the stadium on game day and parked in a lot.

I know this thread is a bit old but just wanted to post this pic in case anyone was interested.

Just left Morryde in late Oct after getting the IS and a few other items installed. This pic shows the 8k axles with Kodiak disc upgrade on rolling racks ready to be wheeled under my rig.
