Bouncing toy hauler
I have a 37 foot toy hauler. I haul a motorcycle in it. First year my back wheel broke through the floor because of trailer bouncing because of bad roads. Does anyone have suggestions to prevent this from happening. It’s a fifth wheel toy hauler.

Agreed, tie her down. I've ŕlways looped once around back wheel and tie pulling back. No worries about suspension.

I have it tied down, but straps keep breaking. Even brand new straps.

Get a better built trailer. I've hauled a Harley Ultra Limited and Goldwing across the US many times on some terrible roads with no issues.

The reason I asked the back wheel of what is that on a recent four week trip on the interstates a guy went by me running the speed limit of 75 pulling a toy hauler that was bouncing all over.
I was surprised it was holding together.
That wasn't you was it?

If it was, then the answer is “slow down to 60”.

What kind of straps are you using? Properly rated straps should not break, even if the bike was bouncing around (should not). I have been on horrible roads (take any freeway bridge transition) with my toy hauler, to where the u-bolt on the axle has hit the frame, and my 600 lb bike is still good.
Sounds like your trailer is not loaded properly weight wise, and you are not tying the bike down properly.

Kinda sounds like you are over tightening the straps. Let the motorcycle suspension handle some of its own bumps. You don’t want the suspension bottomed out, but enough tension that it won’t come unhooked.

You really need to rethink how you are tying down the bike. If it is bouncing so much it breaks the floor(I really dont see how that is possible) and breaking straps you are doing something wrong.
What is your tie set up? Explain how you are tying down the bike so we can help you.
