This weekend I am going to look at an '06 fun runner[/URL] by carson trailer. It is a 16' for $7800. Of course that does not include any extras (fuel station, awning, radio, etc) but for the price it seems like a great deal. Does anyone have anything I should know about this brand before I spend a day driving to look at it?

Dennis,
The Carson's are very basic, the one you're looking at, more so than most. With that said, we had a 20' Carson and had no problems with it. It worked great for what we needed.

My only thought is if you are going too small. I don't know your needs but from what I read most in all the forums are from folks who went too small and out grew it before the first year was up. Someone told me a year or so ago to find the one you like and CAN SAFELY TOW , then step up to the next size larger (again, if you can safely tow it) . Seemed to make good sense and it worked for me.

It really does depend on your needs and use of it.

I have the 16 FL it is a great little trailer with a very small bath & shower.

But we use it only for overniter and 3 day weekends for dudes. we are 2 wheelers we can fit 3 and a pit bike with no problems.

Quality wise all I can say is it ain't like the QC crap that the name brands seem to be having right know . It's been good to us.

Oops, they do have 1 flaw....They have not figured out how to keep graphics on as they all seem to peel off, but thats fine as I like um plane white.

If your plans include a ladie going with, you should keep looking cause she ain't going to like the airlne size bath, but for us dudes it's fine.

The only thing is that when you add all the extras you will be at 11-12K and you could do better once you get into that price range.

We bought a basically brand new used one with lots O' stuff for $6500.

Good luck, and if you want more info. just PM me
