Smile Cover for Happijac couch system?

Hi!

We just bought a 2020 Jayco Octane UL. We actually bought it sight unseen and drove 8 hours to pick it up (those suckers are HARD to find!!). We haven't had a toy hauler before and hadn't used a Happijac bed lift system. The bed lift is really nice...we were pleasantly surprised by the softness of the couch material and of how comfortable it is to sit/lay on. It is definitely much nicer than we expected which brought up a question...how the heck can we protect them?? The Talon fits into the garage well, with a few inches to spare on either side so we don't expect that the couches to get bumped...but it's the garage area and things happen.

Do any of you cover your folding couches when they are vertical against the wall? If so, with what? I am surprised that Happijac doesn't make a heavy duty slip cover for this.

Thanks!

Ours are up against the ceiling when anything other than people are in the garage. I never considered covering them. My covers just zip on. Id imagine a cover would be nearly as expensive as new seating surfaces. I will say, the legs are junk. Im going to be removing the self tappers that hold them on and replacing them with bolts with nyloc nuts. The ones for the seat backs are easy to get to. I actually think it would be a good idea to put 2 legs on each section of the couch instead of just one. A 5 gallon home depot bucket is about perfect height for supporting the beds and is convenient to toss tools and stuff in. Im going to do a little more experimenting with those and see where it gets me.

seat covers

I haven't covered our happijac seats yet, but in our motorhome that we had until a few months ago, I sewed very simple covers from old quilts I bought at the thrift store. They weren't perfect, but they protected that RV well for 10 years. When we sold it the upholstery looked brand new and it had a lot of use.
I will buy either quilted fabric or new quilts from Ross or somewhere else cheap so that I can them all matching this time! Right now I'm just using fitted sheets to cover the couch and beach towels for the happijac seats. I bought elastic sheet clips from Amazon to keep the towels in place and so far they work great! https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Tr...NsaWNrPXRydWU=
