Thanks FD, Yes, much as I hate to admit it, thats correct. You MEAN I hafta get flowers too! Jeees, is there no end! Careful, you don't wanta stress me out again.

She used to drive too until she crashed the car at Hallett in 91 while autocrossing before it became a drag only car. She decided to hang it up after that but I started racing vettes in 1977 and and did so up until 2003, now just an occasional spin around the track in the old slow 89.

After I won the High speed with overall "fastest time of the day" at nationals in 93 at Heartland park, Topeka, on the 2.1 mile road course, I switched it to drag only, getting too old to turn corners!

And Clark, I'll ditto what Sean said. Its much more fun here than anywhere else. Especially with all the great people on here.

Plus, isn't it easier on the ol' 'grey material' to plan shifting the tranny on the drags as versus on road courses? I would imagine that the drags reduce the stress of mis-shifts while cornering or when to shift with corners coming up.
Maybe we should all look into making bar-stool racers. We could use Tom as a sort of mentor/coach guy. And his wife too apparently. Have you seen those bar stool racers with their little wheels and engines? And by the way, those guys appear to be having some fun.

The old saying goes, always enter the corner in the gear you want to exit the corner with without upsetting the balance under braking.

Bar stool racers....we're that now, aren't we.
