Folks, I had an interesting conversaation with a La Meza dealer in San Bernardino today. I had called San Diego a couple days ago wanting to look at the Endura Max (MH w/garage) and they said they had two in San Bernardino I could look at. When I got there today they said that they were sent back to San Diego day before and that Gulfstream wasn't going to sell them anymore due to the lift gate suddenly dropping while lowering it! Has anyone heard of this? I'm going to try and call/e-mail Gulfsteam to try and get the skinny......Bill

Me thinks the same
I drive past their San Diego place every day on the way to the saltmine, next time they have one of their models "on one of their lots", we can double team 'em.
Good luck on your continued lookings

Sean/FatDog, finally I'm able to reply, I'm still having problems with this darn droid Since the "accept TOS" thing I couldn't access it to accept it from home, I had to try at work and accepted it and now I can communicate with all but still can't get to my profile here at home and yet it works fine at work. Anyway I called Gulf Stream and sent e-mail to them. The call was interesting they said that they pulled the Endura Max from La Meza they are having some kind of problems. He also said that the lift gate is just fine and actuall is a better one on the market, wouldn't expect a different statement, but believed him. The e-mail response was they wanted to know the dealer/salesperson, sounded loud in the e-mail, I think someone may get a . Anyway the LiL women and I are on the way Sat to Giant RV in San Berdoo to check out the Endura Max, they didn't have them last week but got them now, maybe they came from accross the 215 from La Meza ..........Bill

Bill:
I don't know if Chris Ulloa crosses over to Endura Max's or not, but if you can grab him- he's the one! That's our guy! But watch out- he might also try to sell ya a Jeep!
And you may want to check the odometer on it- sounds like it's 'been around'!

Oh boy...I'm gonna have to tell ya, that according to numerous sources, the only 5r you can haul a Jeep with is a Warrior. [You're getting sleepy....vewry sleepy...on the count of five, you will promise to go to Chris and tell him you want a hauler you can put a Jeep in)
Of course, I don't know what kinda TV you've got, but there's room on my my boat that'll take you to F350 Duallyland!
Now THAT'S a good 'ol 'hauler spririt!

This post had me thinking of a gadget that you can use to haul a 5er with an SUV. Check it out HERE and let me know what you think.

wow...wasn't expectin' that HD!
That's 'revolutionary', to say the least. You outta put that on the "Just Convo" forum to let it "hangout" with the rest of the group.
Obviously, one issue is with tow capacity..all the Mfrs now differentiate between conventional and 5r tow capacities, but I would assume this would be somewhere 'in the middle'. Should this be a 'norm', thenmaybe they'll publish some stats as to just what you can tow. Looks like that unit weights some also, so there's something to think about...
[And another 'wow'] Could you imagine the buzz if everyone found this out? Fatdog: the tires and GVWR convos would be flying all over the place! Wadda we got to do to keep tires from bein' a major subject again?!!!!
HD: I think you've just created a monster!. Yikes!

Yeah, WOW is what I thought when I saw it.
With a 3500lb pin weight rating and 18000lb GVWR it appears to be strong, but my burb has the highest tow rating of any SUV and it's only 12000lb so I don't know who would use it.
And did you notice the full suspension on the thing? It's an awesome design anyway.
Hmmmmmmm.....I wonder what it's like to tow/back with it.

HD:
Yeap....that's quite the suspension...but I also wonder just what situation they're targeting with something like that!
