Bought two Fire Extinguishers from Sams for $20.00 a piece. Put the small one that came with the trailer in the TV. So if you have a new or old trailer just thought I would post to jog your memory. Go get them much better Extinguishers. If you ever need them they will be worth way more than $40.00 I'm sure Clark would agree.

Don,

Looks great. The ones that come with the trailer are good for putting in the car or the home kitchen. Buy the larger ones rated at at least 2A 10BC. With those, you can actually put out a small fire in the trailer. Remember though, everything in the trailer will burn or melt VERY quickly. Especially toyhaulers...

7-8 years ago over Thanksgiving at Dumont, some guy started his buggy in the trailer that he had just parked. While he was driving in, apparently he spilled some gas in the trailer. The fumes lit off when he tried to start the buggy catching the whole rig on fire. He was lucky to get out himself. I with about 6 other guys tried to put the fire out and get his truck un hooked from the trailer. All he had left was the truck. The BLM guys made him go get 4 tires and rims to put on the carcase and tow it out. He lost a 26' pull trailer, what he said was a $20K aluminum buggy and 2 quads. All that was left besides the trailer frame was the quad frames and a couple parts from the buggy.

Fire and trailers, not good

Don, again, nice job...

Clark

Remember...

Pull (the pin)
Point (at the base of the flames)
Press (the trigger handle)
Sweep (sweep from side to side)

If the fire doesn't go out...run like ****.

(now you are a trained professional)

Now we know who the trained professional is!

My guess is one of them is on the wrong side of the hose!

i suppose thats what had to be done, but it sure must have been a sad pull for that guy. Axle bearings probably squeaked big time too.
