Fireplace in the Garage?

I did a search and cannot find anything that has been done. We would like to set the garage up to sleep as the couch/dinette are too uncomfortable. I was thinking of installing an infrared fireplace under the TV for additional heat. We do have one vent under the step from the furnace.

Has anyone done this? Please post photos.
Thank you.

My only comment would be to make sure any power outlet you choose for powering the fireplace isn't on a circuit running through the inverter .

Even though inverters should pass power through when on shore power , they have circuit breakers that are not always up to the load of heating appliances.

I would have an RV dealer install it, we are clueless. I was thinking I would have to use an RV fireplace as it is probably built for bouncing down the road.
Thanks!

The 120 volt fireplace in my home , is by the same manufacturer as the two that I've worked on in RVs .

Dimplex .
So don't pay a premium price at an RV store , take a look online .

unless it's a weatherproof fireplace meant for the outdoor patio you can use any electric fireplace indoors. Also to add, most invertors are primarily run to the fridge

We have a small Lowes fireplace in our garage. Love it and use it when we are hooked up to shore power.

It is on the inverter circuit so we have to be careful to turn it off.

Do you have any photos of your set up/room? Would love to see it.
