Hey Senoir Donno:

Hummmmm....two converters in parallel- that outta be interesting- I wouldn't have any idea. But I do know that they have a tendency to be like women- one more might be one too much!

Be sure to keep us informed...and especially on that transfer switch- I'm din' to get one of those!

Ya I know but you know me. Besides I'm not rushing into this. For now I'm just going to change out the 30amp for the 55amp and install the transfer switch. I still need to talk to Iota before I try the 2 converter thing. They inspired my thought process when their website said they can be run in parallel or series. Anyway If I go that route it won't be until spring when I do the four 6 volts and clean up the spaghetti mess along with running heavier wire back to the converter compartment. I don't know what the amp rating on the push pull switch is back their but I think I will just get rid of it when I buy a good off on switch like the one you and others have used.

Hey Donno:

When you get ready to do that, let me know...I'd like nothing more than for you to buy me a [few] drinks and I'll come help you do the mod (notice the order in which I presented my response! ).

Hmmm that's two threads on two different web sites I've read that you are in need of adult beverage entertainment. You must be thirsty buddy.

Hey just to let you all know I replaced the IOTA DLS 30 with the DLS 55 today and wired in the Transfer Switch. Was a piece of cake. Works like a champ. I did'nt even have to go the the hardware store for any extra parts. I will show you pics as soon as they are approved in the TH mod thread.

Just so you all know I E-mailed IOTA, This was their responce to running the DLS 30 and DLS 55 in parallel.

"We do not recommend running units of different amperage in parallel. The unit with more amps will cause the other to blow its fuses. You would also need to buy a smart charger designed for units running in parallel."

So I guess if You have two of the same models and a new Parallel smart charger you could do it. Since I don't, I guess will let someone else down the road see if this would work.
