Is 5er toy hauler pin weight less when garage is loaded?

Is the specified pin weight of a 5er toy hauler the unloaded pin weight? If so then wouldn't the pin weight be less than spec when the garage is loaded? (and no other weight added)

Well, it would seem to me that unless ALL the weight was behind the rear most axle the weight would increase. Kind of like a teeter/totter. put all the weight behind a pivot point and the lighter the other end will be. If you put weight on top of the axles then weight is spread through out the frame and the pin weight would be heavier.

Specified pin weight is DRY Pin Weight based on DRY trailer weight

THs tend to be pin heavy so that when toys are added to garage the WET Pin does decrease BUT it is only few hundred pounds overall.

If Tow vehicle can NOT 'carry' the full GVWR WET Pin Weight then tow vehicle too small or TH too heavy
(Divide DRY Pin/published pin weight by UVW/DRY Trailer Weight for pin/weight ratio ---- Percentage. THen using that percentage figure what WET Pin would be for GVWR. Got enough tow vehicle??)
Never count on off setting pin weight by relocation of on-board weight/items

Ok, that's what I was thinking. I'm not trying to do anything weird, I was just thinking about the weights and balances of the setup.

My father’s Cyclone driving his RZR in the garage unloads 700lbs off the Pin.

Agree with others...yes will reduce pin weight.

List pin weight is dry so therefore, keep in mind you will also be adding weight to the pin once you add gear to the basement storage, clothes to the master bedroom and linens, towels, etc. to the master bath.

Our toy hauler is definitely pin heavy. I actually prefer pulling ours when the fuel station is full of fuel and loaded with toys.
