Lippert Level-Up Front Jack failure

I've got a 2018 DRV Fullhouse with the Lippert Level-Up automatic leveling system. (J6 Jacks) We had just returned from a short camping trip and it was setup in my driveway with all of the jacks down and leveled. I had entered the trailer and the front levelers completely gave out, allowing the RV to nose dive, leaving the rear wheels off the ground. Scared the cap out of me! There was hydraulic fluid running down both front jack rams. I was able to level the RV back with my forklift and some blocks under each of the retracted rams. I haven't had time to find out what happened yet and a quick visual did not indicate any hoses or fittings that burst. I'm going to put the forklift under the hitch tonight and bring up the 4 rear jacks so that all of the remaining fluid id in the reservoir, then top off the reservoir and run the front jacks to see if I can find any leaks and maybe see if the front jacks are toast. I called Lippert the day it happened and they have never heard of this! Any suggestions would be appreciated! : )

You obviously have a hydraulic leak somewhere. Check all your hose connections around the pump and reservoir, then fill with the correct fluid. Good luck.

here is a copy of the Lippert manuals for the system. This manual has all of the systems in it, look at page 155 for a diagram for the 6 point system.

Found the culprit! One of the three top bolt heads blew off and the top of the jack popped out! Inferior hardware or it wasn’t torqued right from the factory. The pressure switch was caught in the crossfire. What a PITA to remove this…..DRV build the coach around the left front jack so an access hole had to be cut in the propane tank bay.

Wow... either the wrong bolts or overtorqued. Check the threads in the aluminum housing, hopefully they used inserts. Make sure that cartridge valve is not damaged, these can easily be replaced.

Ordered a new one from Lippert. Not happy that I had to pay for it seeing it was a manufacturing issue, but they worked with me on price and shipped for free. Their Tech support people are great to work with. They have never seen this happen before.....

Luckily nobody got hurt and no damage.
