My luck. On the maiden voyage of our new Rampage Toy Hauler last weekend, I broke the upper window in the back at the head/foot of the main bed. I forgot about a battery lantern that I had stashed in between the wall and the mattress during the night. And then raised the bed up for the day. Went outside was standing there and about 5 minutes later, crack! We thought someone threw a rock into the window. But the glass was pushed out!

We removed the loose shards and duct taped the hole inside and out. Our dealer wants $350 to replace this little window. Holy cow! There's got to be a better way!

any suggestions? Other than living with duct tape? That's our 2nd choice

Dealer wants

Welcome to iRV2 and to the ToyHauler's area of it as well!!
This website welcomes you.

Congrats on the Rampage.
I have replaced only one window on my toyhauler, the one i had a couple years ago, but it was the door window. That, by the way took 15 minutes and the glass cost about 20 bucks. That makes me hope that your window replacement might hopefully be a do able task as well.? My local RV place had replacement glass in various sizes and gave me the 5 minute "how-to"
We'll get some feedback from someone who knows more, there are some RV techs here at iRV2.

What part of NorCal you from and out of curiosity where do you camp??
thanks,
Mike

I broke one years ago, went to a glass shop and they replaced it with tinted plexiglass. Don't remember the cost, but it was cheap enough.

Something to think about!!!

Welcome Sodapop777,

If I was you I'd take the window frame out by removing the screws, take it down to your local glass dealer and have them put in a new glass. Then get some new sealer tape and put it back in after cleaning off the old sealer tape. Done deal and a whole bunch cheaper.

Ditto Vette Racer. That is exactly what I would do.

Welcome Sodapop777!!

Hope your visits here keep you in stitches!

And Vette Racer's got the idea! Whole lot cheaper and you'll get a professional install...

Now 56Nomad is our resident MOD guy, but he's on vacation- if it's not raining there, you may wanta wait to see what Howie sez, but I suspect it'll be the same!

Have fun!

Sean
