No Power to Unit

We plugged in our unit and it made a loud noise and the power came on. Later that week the unit was unplugged and then later plugged in again. When it was plugged in again there was no power to the unit. Tried the generator and still no power nor is the generator charging the batteries. Checked breakers and fuses. All seem ok. Any suggestions???

Whad did the loud noise sound like? Was it like a clunk or what? If your coach has an ATS (automatic transfer switch) that may be your problem if it doesn't engage when plugging into shore power or when your genset is running, you won't get any power to your circuit breaker panel.

I presume you checked your 120vac circuit breakers to ensure all breakers are in the ON position.

If you can't ferret out the problem other option is take it to an RV repair facility.

Best of luck correcting your problem, and please let us know what it was...

Do you have power at the outlet? its possible when you unplugged it, or plugged it back in the supply breaker for the outlet tripped.

Since you did not mention if you had 12 volt systems operations or not BUT you did start and run the generator (assuming it is an onboard genny) I am going to guess battery operated systems are ok. Also if you verified power to the RV shore power plug. This would bring the transfer switch or converter as suspect. (If connections are good) If you are comfortable with electrical circuits and tracing wires, some time and a dvom may help you find the problem. Knowing the make/model of the switch and converter and how they connect and work together is a plus. Otherwise, take it to a pro as stated in a previous post.

I had the same problem. I found a bad wiring connection on the "shore" input to the transfer switch. I repaired the connection and everything is fine. 2013 Keystone Raptor.
