If you pop a tire off the bead or break/bend an axle mount then I'd say it was too tight a turn.
The problem is that the way the 5th is loaded, it's wheelbase and length from pin to axles(s) will make a big difference.

In the forward direction, you can't turn it too tight (unless that tree is too close ) OR you have a short bed truck and don't have a slider hitch :(
With our slider we had made u turns putting it at one point in a 90 degree angle - but I wouldn't recommend it !
backing you most certainly have to consider the pressure on your tires, why most class A's with tag axles have the ability to lift the tags and mitigate 'scrubbing'

I try never to get in that situation of having to make tight turns. I use up all available real estate in turning,,, it just seems better for the whole rig to travel as smooth as possible... Ive heard because this is my 1st 5th wheel Th triple axle that tight turning scrubs tires, is hard on the bearings in the triple axle wheels to name a few. To me tires and bearings are expensive and the time its going to take me to fix them. Advice could be, take your time and enjoy your trip and have a plan about how your going to maneuver your rig. Ive even had the co-pilot get out and look at whats coming up and say good or bad,,lol.
