I would check the actual dry weight of that toy hauler before you go any farther. Coming from a group of friends were all of us have had them, all of us found out they were much heavier than listed on the stickers. I believe that the dry weight listed on the sticker is without any options, the generator is an option as are many other things that they don't tell you. My trailer was a 33-foot fifth wheel toy hauler with a listed dry weight of 9500 pounds when put on a scale the actual dry weight with no water or fuel in the tank was 11, 200 something to think about...

Edit to ad, all of us towed them with 3/4 ton single wheel trucks without any issues. My set up weighed in at 22,900. Towed it with a 2001 f250 single wheel, 7.3 diesel.

I've never seen a triple axle toy hauler that is that light. There is a reason it's got three axles under it. Post a link to the actual trailer!

Your total trailer tires should equal your truck tires. Triple axle= 6 = Dually! Simple math.
The end.

Depends how old it is. My buddy had an older Victory Lane toy hauler with triple axles. I don't remember what dry weight and GVWR on it were, but I recall it was considerably less on both than my dual axle Carbon 337.

Forget the listed dry weight. Use the GVWR of the trailer. You should also know what the rear axle and front axle capacities, GVWR and GCVWR are for the truck you plan to tow with. The pin weight on a toy hauler is generally a little heavier to compensate for the anticipated load in the garage.

If my son approached me with those numbers I’d tell him it sounds like you need more truck.

Agree with Joe11, you are more than likely at least in the area of a late model 1 ton SRW truck. Depending on the GVWR of the toy hauler, how close you plan to get to that weight, configuration of the truck (crew cab? trim level? 4x4?), how much stuff and people you plan to carry in the truck, whether you think you might ever want an aux fuel tank, etc. you may be in dually territory.

Yeah, that is the way I feel as well. The pin weight alone will be way over a 3/4 ton capacity.
