1975 Road Ranger total overhaul

Newbie here with my first ever camper, first ever trailer actually. Thought i would make a thread to keep track of everything i do posting updates and pictures as i go along. This might take a few years to complete because i know it will cost a pretty penny. This 1975 Road Ranger was given to me and it is in terrible condition. My goal is to tear it all down to the frame, clean up the frame and rebuild the camper my own way. i would like to have a toy hauler door in the back to load up my dirt bikes. The pictures are from the day i got it.

First this i did was remove the battery and the propane tanks. Then tonight i started removing the outside trim, door and windows. i dont know how many wasp nest i have found so far, its a lot. Im glad it was around 28* F because all the wasp were dormant. i found a good amount of wasps as well.

This looked to be the correct place to post this thread, but admin/mods, feel free to move if there is a more appropriate place for this thread.

There was a great thread a while back by someone who did this same thing. I’ll see if I can find it - might give you some good ideas. It’s a big project but some friends just bought t 17’ moderately equipped single axle TT and the MSRP was $21k! they got it for a lot less and then bartered 25% but cost of a new one justifies the project if you have the time and skills.

I got it stripped down to the frame today. Lots of the wood was rotten and no good. After i clean up the mess, i'll start cleaning up the frame next.
