2005 Travel Star 21SSO electrical problem

New to the forums, glad I found you guys. So, we bought are travel star 2 years ago, has been great other than having to replace the slide motor, it died on me at the end of last year. I just got done replacing it today and when I went to plug the trailer in so we could have some AC on after the AC would seem to not go full power, then it would go than not and when I turn the Ac on the lights inside of the trailer blink twice than off and then blink twice and off. When I switch from AC to fan or heat the lights are normal. Any idea where I need to start looking. We parked the camper at a friend's house who has land over the winter, and it does some that mice were all over the camper and I'm afraid they may have chewed some wires somewhere but do not know where to even begin. One other thing, those of you that have hybrid campers where would I go to have one of the tent ends replaced?

What amperage outlet are you plugged into ?

For proper operation of a roof ac unit you need a 30 amp 120 volt outlet.

Note that some farms have 30 amp 240 volt outlets for welders , that will fry RV electrical .

RV A/C have two motors. One for the fan and one for the compressor.

Can you tell if the fan came up to normal speed?
Can you tell if the compressor came up to speed?

This indicates the compressor is overloading the electrical system. The compressor may be failing or start capacitors may be failing.

The blinking lights may mean your battery bank is near dead. If you are plugged into a 15 amp outlet using a long extension cord, the combination of battery charging and compressor high load may be causing the converter to drop out. Let the batteries charge overnight and try again.

Yes, mouse damage troubleshooting can be a long difficult process.

One other thing, those of you that have hybrid campers where would I go to have one of the tent ends replaced?
