2010 Keystone Cougar slide out electrical issue

I have a 2010 keystone cougar. I put my volt meter on the power wires going to the slide out switches and it has 13-14volts. Then when I press IN on the slide button it drops to 4 volts and doesn’t go back up til I reset my generator then it goes back to 13-14volts. Has anyone had this problem?

Also when I installed a new battery it doesn’t get power inside the trailer. Like lights and stuff it should power.

Are you sure that you connected the battery properly? Do your lights work when connected to shore power?

I don't have shore power available but im using a 7500 watt generator everything else works fine when hooked up to generator. I have 13 volts for the power wires going to the slide in/out switch and the awning switch when i first start the generator. When i press the in on the slide out it drops to 4 volts.

The voltage drop makes me think that you have a failed motor for the slide. I am guessing that it is motor driven and not hydraulic? It is normal for voltage at the switch do drop when a load is applied as the voltage is no applied across that load. If you hear the motor running but the slide doesn't move it could be a mechanical problem that is binding the slide or it could also be a broken shear-pin in the drive from the motor.
