2018 Forest River question

I just bought a 2018 Forest River Surveyor 200MBLE and wondering what type roof it has as I can’t get a consistent answer. The previous owner told me PVC the local dealer here says TPO and someone else says it’s a rubber roof. I took a look and it appears to be a shiny hard surface.

The owners manual says rma xtrm ply.

Did a google search for your make/model/year brochure. It has a PVC roof.

Call Forest River with the last 6 of your VIN and ask. They can tell you everything that was installed in your unit.

The following comes from the manufacturer's website.
Quote:
RMA XTRM-PLY is a flexible, durable PVC membrane designed to meet the unique challenges of an RV roof. Unlike other RV roofs, RMA XTRM is a solid material that will not chalk and stain the side of your RV, It does not require periodic expensive re-coating. It is naturally fire retardant and UV resistant. Once installed-easy to patch/repair with PVC cement. Designed to be installed with: RMA adhesive, sealants and butyl tape only.

If it is a hard bright white material is is PVC. I did a google search and found this.
This says it is PVC. If so, I would consider that a good thing. Just be careful to use sealant around vents that works with PVC.

They use PVC on commercial building roofs so I am thinking a PCV roof is going to last longer than TPO or EPDM.Click image for larger version
