2018 Lance #2285 - no power?

We just bought a 2018 Lance #2285 trailer in TX and are headed home to WA State. (Thought we would enjoy a mini vacation along the way back home in our new trailer!) The unit is 5 yrs old but never really used or driven anywhere long distance. All worked fine before we left but at the first stop, I have no power in the rig at all? I checked breakers/battery connections and such but nothing solved. I will get two new batteries tomorrow since they are OE. Any other thoughts here would be appreciated. Hate to drag this thing all the way home and not use it? :-( THANKS all y,all!

Had a similar issue on our first trip with current used trailer. Got stuck in a state park dry camp spot, moved TV near batteries and hooked up jumper cables, all powered up, got slide in and diagnosed issue all at the same time. Bought G27's when we got home, life is good! PS: later changed to PD converter with wizard, very good decision! Cheers!...

I would almost bet the previous owner knew the batteries were bad and left the trailer plugged in until you arrived to look at it giving the batteries just enough to look good. With the trailer never really being used i would bet the battery's were flat every time they went to use it so they just plugged it in and charged them up before they went out. Replace the batteries and you should be good to go.

Myself i watch my batteries and if I'm not using the trailer i plug it in once a month for a day to give everything a good charge. Winter time i will pull the battery's and toss them on maintainers for the winter.. I would leave my solar panel out but worried that it would get stolen while i was at work or at night..

Myself i would go back to the seller and see if they will help with the cost of replacing batteries as i just spend over $600 on 2 6v batteries on my unit.. not cheap by any means..

"No power in the rig at all"

If not plugged into shore power or running a generator, you should not expect 120 volt power to be available.

Do you have an inverter? If so post make and model

Batteries may have discharged so no 12 volt lights or pump would work.
Possibly the 12 volt line to the tow vehicle is not working.
Fully charge batteries for 14 to 18 hours to see if 12 volt power returns.

If batteries were not being charged, then new batteries will only solve the problem momentarily. Then they to will be flat out discharged as well.

Some of the information is a little dated, but it is still pretty good.

Good idea to buy a multimeter so you test voltage and such.
