Buying a low priced travel trailer is like a crap shoot. You never know what you are going to get.
Keystone and Dutchmen are sister lines. I bought Dutchmen and regretted it within 7 days. It was three months before I could use it for a first camping trip and two years later I am still finishing up modifications to work the way it was advertised.
Both lines of TT's use the same manufacture support phone line. The support personnel seem to be trained to find any plausible reason to refuse claims even though they do not have facts to back them up.
My Kodiak had a water pump with a cracked water pump chamber. The support refused to cover replacement because it could have happened after I took delivery. I can tell you it did not.
There were many things that had to be fixed. Dutchmen covered $400 of a $2100 repair. The smaller things I fixed myself because towing it 100 miles back to the dealer each time and waiting 2 weeks to 2 months was too much for me.
I have seen fewer complaints about Dutchmen and Keystone in the last year. Maybe they have improved their design and build quality.
