I have 2013 Keystone Vantage 25RBS without any problems. There are things I do not like but everything still works.

I am thinking of trading it in on either a Winnebago or Rockwood/Flagstaff travel trailer. I want a few of the newer features. Especially the steps that reach the ground.

Keystone builds an average camper as good as other manufacturer's. They all use the same water heater, stove, furnace, axles, refrigerators etc.

I had a Keystone Bullet. They quality was meh but it worked fine and served it's purpose. I never had any interactions with the manufacturer. Remember to always weigh negative posts about any thing as no one posts a good experience over a bad. I use a factor of 5. If you have 5 times as many negative posts as positive then the end result is half good half bad.

New things - blue tooth, LED lights, Steps the reach the ground, windshield window in front, the stove is better, I want a larger slide, I want a bedroom that can be closed off, automatic awning, LED lights on the awning, larger holding tanks, lol and newer tires.

I like the Keystone Vantage 25 RBS for what it was used for at the time. A hotel room for 1. One very nice open trailer.

Now I want a trailer with a bedroom door that can be closed.

We just bought a 2020 keystone hideout 21lhswe and though we have only camped in it twice we like it so far. Like others have mentioned the quality is just average as I have seen some trim things not quite right but nothing serious. Its just a camper for us a few times a year so it doesn't need to be perfect, I have actually been changing it to our specs anyhow. All the appliances work and nothing leaks so for the price it was a good fit for us, I did upgrade the tires right away though. I would recommend them to someone looking for an entry trailer as us or someone that is somewhat handy and not looking for airstream quality. Hope this helps, all just my opinion. Happy camping and good luck on a decision. [emoji111]

I would agree with this- we had a 2016 Outback 220URB. Decent unit for what we paid but left a lot lacking IMO for what we wanted to do with a trailer but it did the job.

Traded it in on an ORV 24RLS.

Our trailer has a windshield window in front. Boy it wakes you up in the morning (that's where our bed is).

Quality Travel Trailer Brands

Buying a low priced travel trailer is like a crap shoot. You never know what you are going to get.

Keystone and Dutchmen are sister lines. I bought Dutchmen and regretted it within 7 days. It was three months before I could use it for a first camping trip and two years later I am still finishing up modifications to work the way it was advertised.

Both lines of TT's use the same manufacture support phone line. The support personnel seem to be trained to find any plausible reason to refuse claims even though they do not have facts to back them up.

My Kodiak had a water pump with a cracked water pump chamber. The support refused to cover replacement because it could have happened after I took delivery. I can tell you it did not.

There were many things that had to be fixed. Dutchmen covered $400 of a $2100 repair. The smaller things I fixed myself because towing it 100 miles back to the dealer each time and waiting 2 weeks to 2 months was too much for me.

I have seen fewer complaints about Dutchmen and Keystone in the last year. Maybe they have improved their design and build quality.

Check out this iRV2 post for general recommendations.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!
