I was told to use this on my awning and tires. Does it really prolong the life of both?

303 is good stuff for tires and everything else vinyl or rubber. If yours is a fabric awning, I'm not sure how effective it would be. 303 blocks UV from causing breakdown. It works really good on black plastic parts on your car and RV too.

You have to re-apply very frequently as it does not last long.

They make a fabric treatment as well. Mainly meant for convertible car tops, but works well on fabric awnings.
