Again, thanks for all the information and suggestions... From what I gather... my truck with the 6.0 ltr (2007) with a 3.73 rear end, RWD is doing what it should. Tomorrow Ill do a little more exploring on what transmission it has and report back.

Like I said, the truck pulling our trailer is just fine driving along the interstate until we hit the grades (Luckily it is not too often) and for the times were going up the grade I"ll just put up with the screaming chipmunks under the hood :-)

The next time we take a trip to the smokey s with the trailer I"ll record a little more data on how the truck is running, the RPMs and how long the grade is. My downhill trip isn't a issue, even with the tow haul the engine brake (down shifting) seems to be fine.

Gas mileage hasn't really been a problem, it is what it is.. and our few hundred mile trips isn't a big deal... This morning, 87 octane was $2.29 a gallon... it will not break the bank.

At the same time... I will continue to read the information you folks have provided and see what my next move will be!

My last tow vehicle was a 2013 F250 with the gas 6.2 and when I put the 5 star tuner on it I was in love. The power wasn't really changed, not that I could tell, but the transmission programming was incredible. You can select the octane you wish to run when you order the tunes. I had 87 octane tow, 93 tow, 87 economy and 93 performance. I ended up leaving the 87 tow in place all the time.
