Air conditioner

Breakers all on. Air stopped working. Everything else working fine. Switched off main breaker, then back on. Motor on for 3 seconds then off. I'm not electrically inclined at all. Is that an inverter problem?Click image for larger version

Your A/C runs off 110V, not your inverter. It also has to have 12 V from your battery's, to run the thermostat, and that sounds like your problem, battery is low! Your inverter is probably not charging your battery's. Check the breakers on your inverter, to make sure they have not tripped, and check your battery/battery's state of charge. (SOC) Unplug from shore power, check your battery's SOC, then plug in and check them again, to see if they are getting a charge. Hope it is something simple like this! Rail!

Its very, very unlikely your air conditioner is wired to operate off an inverter. If it is your batteries will be drained in no time.

What you have pictured is the AC/DC distribution panel. Within it is the 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC converter and a charger that charges your batteries while plugged into shore power or a generator. An inverter is not going to charge your batteries. Sound more like you have a problem with the air conditioner itself.

If you are not electrically inclined its best to have someone who is have a look at it. I don't want you to get electrocuted.

It would also help everyone involved if you were to add your trailer's make, model, and year to your signature or profile. As its an AC question it also helps to know what make and model it is. Thanks.
