My Rockwood Mini-lite has an antifreeze intake, however I am not sure how it works? Will it automatically begin to pump antifreeze into the system once a hose is attached to it, or do I have to do something first to get it going?

You have to use your on board water pump......use your low point drains and blow the water out, maybe 35lbs, set the bypass valves to block off the water heater and drain it....
To winterize my trailer I found the water pump and disconnected the intake. I bought a 'winterizing kit' which consisted on a 18" or maybe 24" clear plastic hose connected to a nut. This nut is standard size to attach to the intake side of the water pump. I bought 3 gallons of anti-freeze. I put the end of the clear plastic hose in a gallon of pink anti-freeze. I turn on my water pump. It sucks the anti-freeze into the piping. I turn on the faucets (both hot and cold) until I see pick anti-freeze cone out of the faucet, shower head, and toilet. Once one gallon was used I put the clear plastic hose into a fresh full gallon jug of anti-freeze. I use 2.5 gallons.
One thing that needs mentioning is make sure you have the valves set to bypass the water heater. Hopefully your trailer has it clearly labeled.
It's not just the water heater bypass, there's also a valve to switch the pump from pulling from the tank to pulling from the antifreeze inlet. On mine it's right by the pump.

Thanks. I just finished, although I forgot to do the city water connection. I will have to do that tomorrow. I also managed to spill antifreeze down into a hole cut out for a large pipe and other wires. It overflowed from the filter housing somehow. Hopefully, no damage that I can't see. I have no idea what is down there.
Did it go as anticipated? How many gallons of anti-freeze did you end up using? Were your winterizing valves labeled clearly?
I used 2 gsllons, barely. One thing I do is blow out the lines again after putting the antifreeze in. Makes it easier when I go to use the trailer next plus puts more antifreeze down the drains meaning I have to add less.
