Any Experience with Curt "Better Weigh" Mobile Scale

I just noticed a product by Curt - Better Weigh Mobile Towing Scale. It looks interesting and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Accuracy, easy to use etc.. It's advertised as an alternative to going to the CAT scales and give instant and constant readouts via a Phone app.

I just watched several of their videos on that link. I never saw a scale at all...Just a Bluetooth adapter and a cellphone.

So I have no idea how they weigh the vehicle.

Can you explain to me how they weigh the vehicle?

It uses data from the computer to calculate the weight of the trailer based on acceleration and mass and PFM, people claim that its fairly accurate to determine tongue weight.

Same as Haul guage

Curt either licensed the application or bought HaulGauge. The app is exactly the same. I have had one since last August. It definitely lives up to the +/- 5% error rate. My weights have been within that tolerance when tested against the CAT scale. The tongue weight is very accurate. It pegged me exactly when I sat on the tailgate. It does truck weight, GCVW, pin weight, tongue weight and also weight distribution. It is not a replacement for the CAT scale, but certainly a nice confidence builder. It takes a little practice to get the weights right. You have to accelerate smoothly and quickly through 15mph in a straight line, on level terrain. I had wide variance until I learned what it was looking for. HaulGauge.com was videos that explain the science if you are really curious.
