Question Anyone own a 2014 Keystone Sprinter 316BIK? Found a used one and need reviews!

We found a used 2014 Keystone Sprinter 316BIK. We haven't seen it yet, but have been informed by the dealer that it's "barely used, like new, no concerns with it". Of course they will say that. Does anyone have experience with this model? Anything you really like? don't like? What should we watch for in this used model?

Thanks!

What are you going to pull it with?

Dealers fib..

I would recommend you simply check all the things....

Start with general overall appearance inside and out. Does everything "look" right. Straight, rust, tires, valves, switches, slides, doors open and close smoothly, outdoor doors open and close smoothly, all light work, the stereo works, the dvd player works, the tank monitoring works, are the batteries shot from being depleted or over charged. Any dings, dents, knocks, rips, tears patched spots.

Check all slide operations. Open and close them, any jittering or smooth operation. Check the seals on the slide visually from the outside when open, can you see if day light from the inside while open and closed.

Do all of the outlets work, fans turn on, a/c kicks on easily and cool properly. Any mud daubers in the furnace or water heater. Open the doors on the outside of them and behind the fridge and look with a flashlight.

do the steps open and close easily. Do any of the exterior lights have moisture in them.

Press all of the walls, all around, with your finger tips looking for any mushy wood, a sign of water intrusion.

Hook the unit up to water, any leaks under sinks? any black flow preventers leaking, open the faucets, flush the commode.

Is the table still in the front, passenger side compartant, or is it missing?

check all of the seals around the compartment doors.

Be sure you enjoy the floorplan and the level of light inside the rig.

Check all of the shades for smooth operation.

Crawl underneath the unit and look for any road damage all around.

You'll likely not find anything wrong with it

We have a 2015 model. From what the Keystone website has, it looks like identical floorplan as our except the rear slide out has a couch where ours has a bunk.

We love ours. It was our first camper, is way way more than we need but will be a great long term camper for us. We have slept 8 or 9 people in it at the State Fair very comfortably.

Pros: Very nice fit and finish in my opinion. Normal camper material leave a little to be desired but can't complain with anything I've seen so far. Love the outdoor kitchen but the trailer sits higher than other campers I have seen, so the counter tops are too high for shorter people. Pulls better than my in-laws 26' did. I won't go into what I'm pulling it with so we don't side track the post. Yes I'm legal Seems to pull better with water than without but need to pull empty again to be sure. Bluetooth stereo, awning speakers, a range and grill outside are awesome. Comfy couch, nice island, lots of nice little "hmm they must have listened to a customer suggestion here, there, and there..."

Cons: Could use another A/C, struggles to keep up even in the northern climate in decent shade. It's not unbearable but it gets warmer during the day, just start early and keep it running. Queen bed takes up the whole master bed, its kind of tough to get around to the other side of the bed. (or just tell DH to roll over). It's long and its tall (not really a complaint) and therefore tends to catch a lot of wind. Wouldn't run without sway control and WD bars.

All in all the only thing I wish we had was just a little more room in the master bed, a few more lights in cabinents (stick on LED's work fine) and that the LED strips were both at the base and roller end of the awning depending on whether its retracted or extended. Would like to see better speakers, and volume balance, in the awning. (to hear outside its two times too loud inside). And I would like a longer gas hose for the rear grill to be able to move around depending on wind direction.

Everything with the exception the the master bedroom walk around size is easily modified and some has been. Haven't regretted it for a second.

If you have specific questions ask away. Happy Camping.
