Appears we got water got in the roof

So I just noticed that the roof corner was not completely sealed and water got in. Looks like the wood soaked in the water. What would you recommend for this situation?

I would dig all that old sealant off so I could see exactly why there are cracks in the sealant.

Not a lot you can do this time of year but can you get the wood dried out? I would do that and reseal any gaps.

Do you think the wall and roof came apart?

Appears like the wood soaked water and expanded which caused the front metal part of the trailer to separate. It's still solid to the touch but I believe with time this gap could be a bigger problem. Especially along the entire corner molding being shifted out.

Is there some kind of chemical that helps prevent rotting and absorbing water? I can't really think of many ways to dry this wood.

Tomorrow I plan on removing some of the old sealant. The previous owner used some kind of silicone on the corners which is nearly impossible to remove the corner molding. I'd like to apply seal-tite[emoji769]on the corners to prevent leaks. Main concern is removing old silicone sealant, stuff is on there strong.

I do not have any good ideas to dry the wet wood. A bad idea that just might work is use a hair dryer the best you can.

Actually - maybe just patch it again so it does not continue to leak then the 1st warm day in March tackle it then. You probably need several warm days out in the sun to help dry the wood.

This tape that works well to stop leaks.
