Are accordion blinds the worst?

I have fixed every blind in my trailer. Just now I fixed it again. Man, these things are the worst. They come undone or pull out from the wall.

Anyone new to travel trailers buy plenty of plastic anchors. You will need them for the blinds.

Never had one in here with a problem, other then slightly closing due to the fine highways we have to use......

I guess I've been lucky, or not enough use yet? Been two years and still looking and working like new.

We had them in our 5th wheel and again in our Class A when we bought her.

First thing my wife TOLD me we were changing was the blinds to Day/Night roller shades and a powered day night across the windshield to replace the previous drapes.

I have also fixed those blinds a number of times and the roller shades do a much better and easier to use alternative!

You know they are! And I refuse to use the damn things. I've ordered MCD DUO shades for our new Nash 23D, just waiting for them to arrive. Put 'em on the old one and I won't use anything else. Unfortunately we leave for a two week trip tomorrow and they're not here yet, oh well.

We got rid of ours and replaced them with blinds. Those will let air through even when lowered.

Never had a problem with our day / night shades except for a occasional string failure. Those I fixed myself.

While I don’t like them, I’ve never had a problem with mine in 11 years. Except for the one in the overhead and I think that’s because there is a lot of stress from being on an angle. But I don’t worry about it flopping since it’s just for storage anyway.

Haven't had a problem with them coming loose from the wall. We have had issues with them getting out of alignment and not folding up correctly. Especially the longer ones.

I did have to re-attach the plastic clips on a couple of the side "curtains" because they tend to catch on things.

I would suggest that you try the Toggler brand of anchors. The cheap plastic versions are junk. You’ll be glad you did.

Buy MCD. Customer service is awesome IF needed. One of the end caps on one of ours came out and I lost it. MCD sent me 12 of each color. Almost enough for all
of our blinds that came with it new. They work awesome.
