Atwood AFM series

The furnace isn’t working again. This time we ran out of propane first and then we are getting the error “Limit Switch/Airflow problems” . We have no idea what this means. We are in a Dutchman Aspen 2018 TT. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

“Limit Switch/Airflow problems”

Limit Switch....means furnace is tripping on HIGH temp in heat exchanger
*Temp limit switch is opening

Airflow.....means inadequate air for sail switch
When fan runs it moves enough move the 'paddle' sail switch ---closing it so DC can continue on its path to Circuit Board (DC goes thru Hi Limit Switch)
That ensures adequate airflow for combustion & room airflow

SO........
When the thermostat Closes (room air temp less then Thermostat Temp set point) does the FAN Start?

Running out of propane can require several attempts to restart appliances before full LP System pressure and FLOW is established

Heat

Thank you,
My husband cleaned out under the Limit Switch. There was debris around it. And after several attempts of restarting it we have heat again! We still have no water due to freezing temps this week but at least we have heat!
