Awning lights

My led lights on my awning came undone from the the awning. I am thinking about mounting them to side of the trailer. Would any thoughts on what to use as I am new to RV life. Thanks

I assume this a flexible strip of LED lights? Then use 3M VHB mounting tape. Be sure to clean both the wall and the back of the LED lights with alcohol.

Mine did the same thing. I cleaned up where they were on the awning and the back of the lights and put silicone on them and stuck them on the awning and put some tape over them to hold the lights up there. So far so good they are staying attached.

Thanks for the input. I thought about two sided tape but was afraid of it coming loose going down the road

Many will, but not 3M VHB.

Our lights are on the roller tube. It seems to me that the lights I see on the side of the camper instead of on the awning roller itself seem to attract more bugs to the side of the camper. Maybe not, but it seems our friends and family's units that have them this way seem to have bugs by the door more so than the other set up on the awning. Just something to consider....

This is true. I installed a strip on both the awning roller and the wall of the camper under the awning. During summer months they tend to attract bugs that then get into the camper when opening the door. When I get a chance, I'm going to remove the end of the strip that's over the door to see if that helps. For now, I just don't use the one on the wall when bugs are around.
