Back in to the TT "camping"

Good day all, it's good to be on the forum. We had a 1994 25' nomad, light weight for the time, and enjoyed it. A few years back we decided to get back in to tent camping, which we always loved, so we got ourselves a nice cabin tent after much research and shopping. It's a great tent. However, that lasted for only a couple seasons when the last time we camped in it I put the tent away in the rain. I'm getting too old and cranky for that. That's when we decided to get back in to a TT.

Anyways it good to be back. Were looking forward to our first trip in a couple weeks.

Welcome to the group. Glad to have you with us.

I know what you mean by tenting. Sometimes the ol' body just can't take it like we used to. As you're headed in out in a couple weeks I assume you've found a trailer or still searching?

Thumbs up Right, make an model....

We ended up with a 2004 R-Vision Trail-Lite 8230. It's light and the interior looks brand new from the upholstery to the fixtures to the floors. We also like that the dual propane tanks are in a compartment up front, our to the constant rain of WA state. Next up is some pictures once we get out of storage (HOA and no RV parking allowed) pictures.

We have had motorhomes since 1977...Last October decided to go with a 35 ' Highland ridge light trailer...It had a very comfortable floor plan that I could not find with a gas rv that I could afford....Pulling it with a 16 ford f150 3.5 ecoboost and so far so good.....Just got to get used to pulling and backing it....Not quite as easy as driving to a spot and a 10 minutes set up....

Travel trailer switch

I switched to a travel trailer from a MH. I miss the basement storage and the generator. It is nice to have a vehicle to drive without braking camp though.

That why we chose to go back to a travel trailer. That and I didn't want another drive train to maintain and the higher insurance. In a few years when we decide to retire, no that many more, we'll upgrade to a larger trailer, maybe a 5th wheel, and another truck.
