back wall repair?

I discovered a small water leak from the zeam between the roof and the back wall. I opened up the wall from the inside, luckily the water damage is minimal. However I did notice that the exterior back wall has pulled away/separated from the wall studs. It loons like it was only glue on to the studs. What is the proper way to fix this? I cannot really open the whole wall from the inside since the shower is against the wall also.
