Bathtub faucet

Good morning, we broke our pull tab for the shower on the bathtub faucet. I brought a whole new faucet and went to replace it last night and had problems taking the old one off. I have a 02 prowler and looking for some help on how to replace it. I was wondering if I needed to go behind the wall(hopefully not) any little thing will help thanks.
P.S. I did take the screws out of the old faucet but was stuck from that part on

Look for an area on the other side of the wall where your faucet is located. It may not be an exact alignment, but there is usually some way to remove a panel and gain access to the plumbing.
