Battery Monitor question

Hey everyone, quick question we just got back from our first camping trip, loved it.

We have our battery monitor panel and I am not sure I understand it. Our has panel has 3 lights green, orange and red. Has 12v,11v and 10 listed beside. How am I suppose to read these? Are we good till red or when are we suppose to worry. Last night we finally dropped into yellow but everything was still working great.

We even had a damn cold night with lots of furnance time and we still sayed yellow.

Thanks in advance.

Battery Monitor question

Ideally you would not want to go below 11 volts as that may be lowering the life of the batteries. Ideally you would not want to drop below 50% charge 12.2 volts for rated life.

If you are boondocking and using shore power infrequently or solar, forget those idiot lights and get a real meter.
I recently installed a trimetric 2030RV meter and find it very useful.
Check it out here: home - Bogart Engineering

A actual voltmeter or a meter like Midnight Solar provides will provide better detail of battery condition. And easy connection.
