Bike carrier on front of a TT
We saw a bike rack mounted to the tongue and over the propane tanks of a small TT yesterday. The owners were out riding so we couldn't talk to them. It looked like a great solution for carring our mountain bikes. Does anyone here have one and do they carry the bikes securely?

We have a product made by Top Pop on the pin box of the 5er. They also have a model for TT. We have two bike model and it is secure and lockable.
They also have an adapter that fits in the hitch reciever on the TV. Drop the trailer off, put the adapter on, hook on the bike rack and you are good to go for hauling the bikes out to the trail head.

And somebody (TorqLift?) makes an addon hitch receiver for your truck, giving you two 2" receivers: one for your bike rack and one for your trailer. Pricey though.

We purchased one of these to carry our kayaks up on top of the truck and still pull the trailer. Our lakes are about two feet thick with ice these days, so won't be needing these hitch adapters for a day or two .

I use a standard strap on bike rack strapped to the front of the truck. The bikes are in front of the radiator etc. no problems so far.

I bought 2 of these from Home Depot:
Racor 2-Bike Floor-Standing Bike Stand-PBS-2R - The Home Depot
Lets me put 4 full size bikes in the bed of my truck with one strap and when we arrive at our destination, I pull them out and use as a bike rack in our campsite.
