Smile Bike cover recommended for Lippert “Jack-it”

Hi,
I just purchased a Lippert “Jack-it” double bike rack for my travel trailer RV. This bike rack mounts at the base of the electric tongue lift motor base. The bikes are then suspended up above the propane tanks and in front of the trailer. I was wondering if anybody has found a bike cover that can with stand the abuse with the bikes in front of the trailer while traveling down the road? I would like to keep the rain and the bugs and debris from abusing the bikes.

Any other feedback on this bike rack and using it before I mount it would be helpful.

Thank you, Chipmaker

Doubt it. Just get something to clean/lube the chain and cables and wipe them down once in a while. You might consider removing the seats in rainy weather.

Thank you

Thanks. You maybe right. I’m also skeptical that one of these light weight covers can handle sustained headwinds of 65 mph up against some sharp edges of a bike.

I was looking for a similar solution for 2 bikes at the other end of the rig. After considering various alternatives, including motorcycle covers, I decided, like mccoens, that it was best just to clean the bikes when I arrived. This was a one-way trip down the Alcan Highway. The bikes did get dirty, but I have a working bike stand and they cleaned up easily.
