Black Tank Flush...
Hi Folks, I have this new to me travel trailer. I am familiar with most systems, having owned a motor home. But when I took this trailer out for its maiden voyage and tried to use the black tank flush nothing happened. I turned on the hose and it seemed to be stopped at the entry to the trailer. No flow into the tank, no noise via the toilet, no flow out of the sewer hose, nothing. Am I missing something?

When I used the black tank flush on my last two trailers I could easily hear the water and even the spinner working. I would open and drain the black tank then leaving the black tank dump valve open I would hook a regular garden hose to the black tank flush inlet. I would let it run until I saw clear water coming out through my clear attachment piece.
If I went inside the trailer and pushed down the flush pedel I could hear water from the flush system.
I would leave it run 15 minutes or so. This kept the tank level indicators working perfect.

Wonder if the PO let the tank get too full and it covered the nozzles and now it's dried and won't spray? Maybe remove the nozzle to check that? Dried on hardened TP would block it easily.
You could just let the tank fill up, then put that effluent digester product in the tank and stay in a cabin for 3 days to let it do it's work, then check things?

That is a good idea to fill the black tank with fresh water and let it set a day or two. Then drain it and then see if your blank tank flush works. Try it immediately after it it is drained just incase there was something dried that was clogging it.

It is possible the check valve/anti-backflow device is installed backwards. Not uncommon. Look under the bathroom sink and up behind the faucet connections. There will probably be a black mounted atop two white 1/2" pex lines. One will have black paint on it someplace. That one heads to the black tank. If the vertical fitting on the device is on the line with the black paint it is in backwards. If not, there may be a kink in the line someplace but may as well check the easy part first.

Sounds like the nozzle is crusted over. Probably the quickest way to fix is to drain the tank and then pull the flusher from the side of the tank. May be a bit of a job but will fix the problem.

Good advice above.
The "City Water" connector and the "Black Flush" fitting look identical on many TT's. I assume you know the difference and so that is not the problem.
I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!

When I use my black tank flush I leave the release valve open. When I start to fill it with water nothing comes out for a minute or two and then all of a sudden it’s a massive release of waste, which gradually gets clearer. Using the black tank flush is the only way I get my sensor to read 1/4 tank.
