Black tank flush-winterizing

I was thinking that compressed air should clear this hose of residual water for winterizing purposes.

You have a different strategy?

I use compressed air to purge all the other freshwater lines. I hadn't thought of doing the same for the flush line but it aught to work just fine.

Unless that hose has a loop in it to trap water, I think gravity would empty it......the valve is located, usually, up high in vanity

I'd say its a straight, downhill shot and agree with Bob, gravity is all you need.

Mine goes up about 2 feet to the valve, then goes down to the tank. Since the valve is a one way valve it COULD hold water if it wasn't so tall but there really isn't anywhere for it to collect. Mine is a Santi-flush and the booklet it came with says to hand pump pink stuff in it but I have not bothered. I might Blow some air through it before the real cold hits but since it has been open and unused for nearly 3 months I don't think it is needed.
