Brake,running light problem

I backed my truck into a rock pile.Tried to use my trailer plug and have a short. Lights worked for a few seconds then went out like a fuse blown trailer plug still has 12 volts from batt. but cant even jump clerance lights now connection from plug to any lights possiable a fuse link can soneone please help? Thank you in advance for any help. Also tried my work with good plug and nothing.

So your saying the trailer lights are out there are sometime a circuit breaker that can trip but that is on the 12v charge line if the trailer lights won't come on then the plug wires are damaged or pulled out.
