There is an existing, working, light and bracket in that location. Many people do not like multiple holes in the skin of their vehicle.

Sure the tabs are a POS but the location is very logical.

So sorry if you are confused or offended by a remark meant to be helpful.

Sorry Mick, maybe we both were missing the others point. My point was that the plastic is quite often a bad mix and is damaged by sunlight and often breaks for that reason. Didn't mean the 'position' was a bad place.
In that context, I missed your intent also. Again, sorry.
