I’ve got a champion 3500 that has worked great for two years. I was camping last night and it worked great and today it **** off with the breakers blown. Checked the fuel and oil both were full. Restarted and reset breakers and unplugged trailer. It ran for 10 min fin the. Plugged in trailer. Ran for 5-10 min fine then this time breakers blew and generator stayed running this time. All we had on was ac. Any ideas where to troubleshoot?

Had a similar problem with a Predator 3500 and finally figured out it was caused by 7000' elevation. Not sure where you are camped, but just food for thought.
We did check and the water heater is off. I turned off all the breakers except the ac and it worked fine . I’ve been trying breaker by breaker and it seems to To trip I turn the converter on. It’s never had an issue in the past.
Yesterday I had to replace the battery because it was bad. New battery in today. I’m thinking either something is wrong with the converter or maybe the generator is having issues. I’m going to try turning off three ac and leaving all other breakers in tonight.
