Coffee pot blew fuse.

Maiden voyage in our 26bh. Stayed local to work out the kinks and add to the list of what we need in it. Hooked up to water and electric. I plugged in the coffee maker this morning to get a pot going and blew a fuse immediately. I assumed the trailer would handle a full sized coffee maker. What do you all use?

I'm assuming by fuse you mean you tripped a breaker.
Most trailers only have 2 or 3 breakers for wall outlets for the whole camper. Is it possible you had something else running on the same circuit?

I boil water on the stove top and use an Aeropress. Great coffee, no wasted coffee, easy to clean, and virtually unbreakable.

We use the smallest Keurig.. One cup at a time but easy to use and east to store when traveling. No problems with fuses.

I use a single cup Keurig that is made for hotel rooms. You can buy them on Amazon. It's a little smaller than the regular single cup Keurig so it takes up less space. I only drink a cup a day so it's perfect for me.

Check the fuses against the circuit ratings... found over half of mine were wrong size... dealer corrected before we left...

We use the Keurig pods most of the time in a couple of different manual press type makers made for the pods. We either heat the water on the stove if dry camping or in the microwave if hooked to shore power or the generator happens to be running. Either of the makers work great.

I use a full size Mr. Coffee 12 cup pot in mine, but I've also got a 50A trailer, not a 30A. Even the 30A should handle a full size coffee pot as long as you don't have other stuff running....like the AC unit, or a toaster, or a microwave, etc.

Good point. Now I'm wondering what else is using electricity at the same time the coffee is being made, or what the amp service is of the outlet the trailer is plugged into.

x2 even on a 20 amp circuit plugged into my house. Check to see what else is drawing power.
