I have an 2011 caliber by heartland that i am going to sell. I am very unhappy with it. The trailer was built with poor quality materials. Always in the shop being fix every time we came back from a trip. (7 times within 2 years) I am looking into buying a Forest River trailer about a 27 or 29 foot . What can you tell me about forest river rv.I went thru 3 converters with the caliber. (Converter made by WFCO) When i buy a new trailer i was thinking of tell the dealer to put in a rv converter/charger. Some one told me by doing this, this will save the converter. Is there any other way to do this.

My 2005 Cedar Creek has been great. Problems have been very minor.

I think we need some more details JtJt...

One I'm thinking is what goes wrong with your converter/charger?

I have two WFCO's and they do the job...

Are you dry camping?

WFCO is made in China if memory serves.

Progressive Dynamics is made in USA

I have a Progressive Dynamics Intella power 9180 with charge wizard installed (Equal to the 9280)

This is a "Stand alone" not a power distribution panel.

They make power distribution panel types as well (4600 line as I recall is such a product).

If you do a search on WFCO problems you will see a long list. PD is the standard in that they have the quality and the service and I am willing to bet FR Uses them.

We have had a new 2013 Forest River for 2 months now. I need to go run out and check the manuals to see what make of converter is in it.

My father-in-law had a Progressive in his ToyHouse. Filled his camper with smoke. He told me about WFCO...and I immediately replaced the one in my DAMON with one...very satisfied. No watering battery pak anymore.
