Looks like your choices are:


1) Let him do it and pay the bill.
2) Risk towing it home.
3) trailer it home and do your self.


Personally I would let him do it and wish it well until next year.

Take the limited tools you need to do this basic job and do it yourself. You could just pull each wheel and add some grease and then when you get home pull it all apart and do it properly.
