Cougar 26RBSWE

Does anyone have any experience with the 2021 model? I would like to find out if the outside refrigerator is powered by the OTG solar package. Thanks

If it is, it would be the first one I've heard about.......highly unlikely IMO. Those outside fridges are typically 120V and run when plugged in only. Certainly you could add an inverter and power it off your batteries/solar but it would be a significant draw and unless you have a serious battery/solar setup, it would cut your battery reserve down significantly.

Dave is correct. Solar power is applied directly to the battery bank.

Outside refrigerator may or may not run on 12 volt battery or may run through inverter or only from shore power or generator.

Thanks for the replies. Did a chat and emailed Keystone and got two different answers, imagine that. IMO if you put on solar and an inverter and wire three plug-ins inside the unit you would also wire the 110 volt outside fridge to an inverted circuit, especially since one on the inside plug-ins is in the kitchen right next to the outside fridge. Just seems logical to me.

yep, like I said; these are 120v fridges not 12V so they will only work if plugged in to a 120v circuit......whether it's an inverter, generator or shore power. What i don't know off the top of my head is how many amps they draw and how much solar you'd need to run one.
