Difference in AC shroud

I am trying to buy a Duotherm AC shroud, but it list an open end or and closed end..what is the difference

That appears to be an open end cover if the black potion is open or a grill. The closed is just that, a four solid sided box.

...don't know--perhaps Brisk-Air model vs Penguin II????? For the P-II to operate efficiently, it is absolutely essential for the foam gaskets UNDER the shroud [not the one under the unit] be replaced/re-aligned to match air flow so you keep the warm side warm and the cool side cool…...

My original was open, clear view of the coil. When I received the replacement it had fins on the back similar to the sides. I used a pair of tin snips and cut the back to be the same as my open style. I did this to make sure there was no air flow restriction interfering with the gas/liquid freon conversion.
