Dish Tailgater Pro
Any suggestions on running the coax into the trailer rather than under the door.
Thanks
Mike

Look around on the outside of the trailer and you may find a connection point. if not there sometimes there are connection points in a wet bay, if your rig has one installed.
If not there is a flat wire made to go thru your window and stay allow it to close.

coax
it has a cable TV connector outside, tried it once, no luck, Dish says it should work after the receiver is activated. I'll play with it this afternoon,
Thanks
Mike

I tried the cable input on the outside of my old RV. Worked sometimes. Found loose connections behind the jack.
My new one has 3 TVs and that wire runs to a splitter. That messes with the Sat TV.
I bought a jack like the one on the RV and installed it, wiring right to the Sat reciever.

Did you run a new coax for the satellite from outside to the inside?

i have a stand that fits in a socket on my T/T tongue and rear bumper so which ever way my T/T is facing i'll get reception. i ran new heavy duty coax to the rear and front with male connectors at each end, the used a short coax to connect to the tailgater. i could never get it to work. i could set it on the ground and run 10 -15'' of coax out out the door to it and it would work. local satellite place tells me they won't work with 30' or so of coax and 3-4 connections. the connections must be of hi quality.

coax
I'm just trying not to have to run the coax under the door of the T/T, then unscrew it so I can close the door at night. saw a piece where you can run it through the slide if it is partially open then extend it all the way out. Don't know.

Thats how I run my cell booster cable. I want it portable so I use a spot where the slide flaps/seals are flexible. My spot is under the slide right near the corner.

Mount a new coaxial inlet on the RV in the wall near your RV. Connect to an inside connector plate. See the above for a large selection of connectors.
This one has both indoor and outdoor connectors.

coax
Somewhat confused, mount the plate next to the one in the RV and tap into it? If so I am still using the cable that came with the RV

i doubt the plates above ^^^^ will work. thats what i tried with new heavy duty coax. your going to end up with 4-5 connections and the tailgater just doesn't like them. splices are bad and also 3 ways. the connectors in the plates are about as cheep as you can get. i always wondered why a person couldn't use hi quality RCA jacks
