DIY Skirting (Semi-Permanent)
Treated 2x4 on ground.
Regular pine 2x4 for studs. Friction fit only at the trailer. Nailed to the bottom plate.
1 1/2" foam board from big box store. (Foil side in)
1-1/4" Galvanized/Uncoated GoBoard washers for fastening foam board to 2x4's.
House wrap tape over all foam board seams.
House wrap over foam board. Tape where needed.
Because I wanted the final look to be black, I wrapped everything in landscape fabric. Attached the fabric with more GoBoard washers (and 3" deck screws).
Not finished with it yet. I have a temp sensor under the trailer so I'm hoping to see some big changes in temps.

one problem you will run into with putting your 2x4 under the trailer like that is when the drost hits the ground it will start heaving and your trailer will start moving and the doors will no longer **** properly. After working at a winter campground for 10 years everyone that did their skirting like this always had issues and had a few people that had to climb out a window or belly storage to get out it heaved so bad. Over the years we found if you really wanted it under the trailer leave a 2" gap for movement and just use something flexible to close that gap .
Ass for your sewer pipes that bend coming out is going to fail you may want to put a elbow on their or something to take some of that bend out. Your going to climb under their everytime you need to swap tanks or are you putting a T in?

Ground is frozen now. As things being to thaw, I'll use the manual function of the jacks to adjust height. Already have spray foam on hand.
Sewer pipes were a test. Just didn't remove them. I just installed the sewer main and parked the trailer 10 days ago. Work in progress. I have a wye. didn't like how loose it fit the cleanout. again, work in progress. been kicking around the idea of cutting the abs to align the tank outlets with the cleanout. have bigger fish to fry right now.

Unless you have more than the leveling jacks at each end of the trailer adjusting them is not going to help as the middle of the trailer is still sitting on the tires. When you get the freeze thaw cycles this is when the ground really starts to heave. Trust me you are gong to want to put a gap in sooner than later. Especially if you do not have a neighbour that will hear you yelling when you cannot get the door open.. Been their and had to rescue a few people that we unable to squeeze through a window.

Skirting is finished. Basement access is more than adequate for intended purposes. I have additional plans for the space just waiting on parts.
Initial temperature readings so far are encouraging and a bit surprising.
28 degrees outside. (between 19:30 - 21:30 so sun was set.)
thermostat set to 60 inside trailer.
temp in basement started at 34 degrees and increased to 36 degrees in 2 hours of normal heater operation.
More than pleased with the results and it'll only get better with future upgrades.

Low temps last night (actually this morning about an hour ago): 26
Current temp: 29
Temp in trailer set to: 34
Temp in basement: 33
Yesterday was warm. high of 60.
I moved the basement sensor to the center of the basement. Glad i did because the sensor had fallen over, face down in the semi-frozen dirt.
