We are in the same boat now....live on the East Coast and have been researching RV's, TT etc. I'm thinking about making the trip to the west coast just to buy quality....ORV or the like. I'd rather spend a little more in effort, time and money up front to have a nice unit and better experience down the road. Can't thank this forum and it's members for all I have learned in a short time here!!

IMXCITD, in my opinion you are doing it right. Iím sure youíve watched a bunch of youtube videos and are struggling to pick a floor plan. We had our choices narrowed down to 3 units. Lance 2375, Arctic Fox 25Y and the ORV 24RLS. All three are really nice units. The Lance is lighter and sits a little lower. The Arctic Fox is 6Ē wider a little longer and heavier. We found the ORV the best for us. Unfortunately many years ago I rolled a travel trailer while pulling with a Ford Explorer. I will NEVER be under trucked again. If I was limited to a 1/2 ton truck Iíd probably own a Lance but having a 3500 Cummins allows me to look at heavier units. The wife and I travel all over the country and having a diesel with exhaust brake makes mountain travel a breeze. Coming down a mountain in Idaho last month, one hand on the wheel, changing the radio station and doing close to 70mph, I look up and see a Lance in the right hand lane. I change lanes and start to pass. I notice The nice Lance 1995 Is being pulled by a Toyota 1/2 ton. The gentleman driving the Toyota was doing probably 50mph and had a white knuckled death grip on the wheel. He was not enjoying the 7% grade. The smell of brakes was not coming from my rig.

Make sure you have enough truck!

Just FYI, Southland RV in Atlanta, is now a Northwood RV dealer. Could probably order what you want.
